Application and selection process - Participation at Dubrovnik Summer Festival

The planning of each year's Festival is an ongoing process. Projects and programmes are developed with orchestras, soloists, dance and theatre companies... often one or two years in advance. The next Festival, 59th in a row, will run from 10 July to 25 August 2008.

History

The Festival Palace

The 17th century baroque palace was renovated in the classicist style in the late 18th century, when its interior was adorned by the outstanding frescos and plastering. The research that had been carried out enabled their thorough reconstruction, along with some new discoveries and their valorization within Dubrovnik’s residential architecture.
