The best contemporary countertenor Max Emanuel Cenčić and Swiss ensemble I Barrochisti will perform within the Vip program of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival in the Rector's Palace, at 9.30 PM on Tuesday, the 13th of July.
Croatian countertenor Max Emanuel Cenčić, one of the world's leading singers in the field, started his education early in his home city Zagreb where he performed for the first time when he was six. Anyway, he left Zagreb already in his early childhood and completed his musical education in Austrian capital.
Max Emanuel Cenčić's status of international singing star keeps being confirmed from week to week by his performances on famous opera stages and concert podiums. Still, baroque choral mag Cenčić does not hesitate to access demanding repertoires so he has recently returned from Japanese tour where he had a role of a soloist in Orff’s „Carmina Burana”. In November he is planning on participating in premiere of “Medeja”, newest opera by contemporary German composer Aribert Reimann in Vienna State Opera.
Swiss Ensemble I Barrochisti is made of richly experienced Swiss and Italian musicians who appear in different formations. The ensemble is known for its exceptional organization and technical support, rhythmical security, and magnificent feeling for old meloharmony.
Festival audience will have the opportunity to enjoy the aria performance of Handel’s opera “Agrippina” and also in compositions of late baroque master Albinoni and greatest Italian composer Vivaldi.
Tickets priced 150 and 250 kuna can be bought in Sales Office on Stradun or online.
