Stefan Milenkovich and Edin Karamazov concert sold out!
Globally renowned violinist Stefan Milenkovich and guitarist Edin Karamazov will perform in the Rector’s Palace on July 17, at 9:30 pm.
These two well established musicians, when they first met last year, immediately felt the urge for joined creation. The result is this unique concert, titled “The Lost Songs”.
Concert is a part of their summer tour. They have already enchanted the festival audience. Milenkovich performed in 2007 as the member of Corinthian Trio and last year with Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra and distinguished pianist Dalibor Cikojevic. Milenkovich is the winner of numerous awards and honors, among which is the Orlando Award in 1990. Edin Karamazov is the famous guitarist well known for his collaboration with Sting. He was introduced to festival’s audience in 2008, when he performed with Cantus Ensemble, opera diva Dunja Vejzovic, and conducted by maestro Berislav Sipus.
These two giants will demonstrate their virtuosity with the compositions “Cantos Disiertos” by the legendary Californian composer Terry Riley, Romanian Folk Dances by the Hungarian composer and ethnomusicologist Béla Bártok, The Enchanted Dawn by Ravi Shankar. The Histoire du tango by Astor Piazzolla guarantees the spectacular closure of the evening.
