An evening of virtuosity in the Rector's Palace
One of the most noted violinists today Vadim Repin has, together with awarded pianist Sergej Tarasov performed as part of the rich musical program of this years' Dubrovnik Summer Festival on Saturday, the 13th of August in the Rector's Palace Atrium.

Music is for the russian violinist Vadim Repin like his mother tongue. He's an outstanding virtuoso, and his stunning ability to pull an amazing amount of colors and sounds from his instrument baffles audiences around the globe. The fiery passion combined with his amazing tecnhique are trademarks of his performances. Repin performs with the greatest world orchestras and is, apart from the Festival, a regular guest of other festivals, such as BBC Proms, Rheingau, Ravinia, Tanglewood, Gstaad and Verbier. As a chamber musicians he cooperates with many notable musicians amongst whom is Sergei Tarasov. Tarasov's performances are distinctive because of his explosiveness, perfect feeling for the piano and a virtuosity that brought him many awards. Tarasov is a laureate of the Tchaikovsky competition in Moscow, Arthur Ruinstein, Busoni and many others and he also played as a soloist with the Russian Symphony Orchestra, the Moscow Philharmonic, the Sankt Peterburg Symphony Orchestra, the Tokio Metropolitan Orchestra, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the Izraeli Philharmonic.
At the concert in the Rector's Palace the audience had the chance to enjoy in the works of Mozart, Prokofjev and Franck.
