Lucianović's Time Machine in Sponza Palace
The exhibition of paintings by Davor Lucianović called Time Machine will be opened within the section of other programs at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, on July 31
st at 0:00.

The exhibition of this Dubrovnik artist was opened in Sponza Palace Atrium on August 9th. The main topic is walking through the history of well known stages of the City.
Dubrovnik Summer Festival makes one of the most important frames of the Croatian culture; with tradition and earned reputation the Festival became the subject of the art edition which has been acceded with a clear idea and meaning of the project: Triptis’, grouped by the location (Gradac, Lovrijenac Fort, Rector’s Palace, and in front of the Sponza Palace), bring view of the parallel world that opens while Festival is running. Majority of the year, these locations live or dream a different life. During the nights of the Festival, they get a special character and they get uniquely enliven. They become places of enliven past or enchanted worlds, playgrounds for adults.
Lucianović has graduated on ALU in Zagreb, and afterwards he had many independent and group exhibitions. In 1993 he initiated the foundation of art department in Art School „Luka Sorkočević“ in Dubrovnik, where he still works as drawing, painting, and plastic shaping professor. This is his first cooperation with the Festival.
- Thematically the exhibition edits the chosen performances of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival since its foundation till today. Stimulation is received from items of the photo-archives by Dubrovnik Summer Festival, especially now when our greatest Festival celebrates the 60
th anniversary of the existence. – Lucianović emphasized. In its rich section of other programs, the Festival already had an exhibition based on historian heritage in Sponza Palace at the beginning of July, and after Lucianović, the art lovers have the opportunity to enjoy the exhibition of the photos by Damil Kalogjera, faithful chronicler of the Festival.
