TOP QUALITY DVD
The Dubrovnik Summer Festival 1950 – 2006 DVD is a special electronic monograph including more than 5000 photographs and nearly all texts about the Festival published within a half-century period. It is precisely owing to the modern informatics-electronic technology that such quality, but also quantity, of included Festival data was achieved, which would not be possible with a classical monograph. Namely, the DVD comprises the textual, audio and video recordings in «About us», «Contacts», «Announcement of the 57th Dubrovnik Summer Festival Programme», «Retrospective» and «Multimedia» sections. All the texts (including a large number of accompanying materials) are available in English language.
The 56th Dubrovnik Summer Festival section thus includes the entire 2006 programme with concert, theatre and folklore bills and reviews in PDV and Word form. The most interesting DVD section is most likely the «Retrospective» including a review of more than 70 various festival venues used from 1950 – 2004. In addition to an interesting short text about its past and present, each of the venues includes a list of theatre, music and folklore events during each festival year – the titles and basic data on premiere, reprise and guest theatre performances, music and folklore events, as well as PDF reviews of particular events taking place during recent festival seasons. The «Multimedia» section comprises audio and video clips, concert recordings, video recordings of the opening ceremonies, and about 5000 photographs taken from the beginning of the festival until the present time. The Dubrovnik Summer Festival DVD is indeed a top quality product, which can greatly contribute to further festival marketing both at home and abroad. It is also a must have electronic monograph for all admirers of Dubrovnik, the Dubrovnik Summer Festival and ambience theatre. And it is precisely the medium of electronics that provides such monograph with a new quality.
