M. Držić / P. Zoranić: The Words from the Mountains
Program

Festival Drama Ensemble and the Zagreb Youth Theatre in cooperation with the Academy of Drama Art in Zagreb

In the spirit of the anniversary of the birth of the contemporaries Petar Zoranić  and Marin Držić , the play The Words from the Mountains is conceptualized as a peculiar overlapping of the two cult works of the Croatian renaissance literature: The Mountains and Tirena. Namely, the story depicts the allegorical journey along the Croatian coast of the shepherd Zoran, who − carried on the wings of love - looks for his beloved fairy. On his way he meets many mythical and mundane beings, the people of spirit who help him drown his longing – with the aid of creation − in song and dance.
