Dubravka Tomšič – Srebotnjak's Masterclass
The first in a series of four masterclasses during the 62nd Dubrovnik Summer Festival was given by a notable pianist and teacher of world renown, Dubravka Tomšič – Srebotnjak. The workshop was held on Saturday and Sunday, July 16th and 17th in Luka Sorkočević's Art School.
Workshops are free and for all the participants, mostly students of music academies, and free admission are given to the festival performances. With these workshops, Dubrovnik Summer Festival is looking to educate young people who are just waiting for the world's glory of their mentors. The masterclasses at the 62nd Summer Festival are also held by the American pianist and conductor Stephen Kovacevich on August 1st, the world-renowned violinist Pinchas Zukerman on August 5th and a Spanish classical and flamenco guitarist Pepe Romero on August 6th.
