After ten years the Ballet of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb returns to the Dubrovnik Summer Festival with its hit performance "Swan Lake" by Pyotr Ilych Tchaikovsky in the choreography of the famous Vladimir Malakhov. The performances are scheduled for July 14, 15 and 16, 2017 starting at 9.30 pm in Gradac Park
By raising the Libertas Festival Flag accompanied by the sounds and lyrics of The Hymn of Freedom on July 10, in front of St. Blaise's Church, the 68th Dubrovnik Summer Festival was officially opened and it will be traditionally held until August 25. In 47 days, on more than 15 ambient locations, almost 2,000 artists from across the globe will present around 80 dramatic, musical, opera, ballet, folklore and other programs to 60,000 domestic and foreign guests.
Carmina Burana will be performed on Tuesday, 11 July at 9.30 pm in front of the St Blaise's Churc by the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, the Zagreb Philharomonic, Ivan Goran Kovačić Academic Choir conducted by mo. Ivan Josip Skender and soloists: Owen Willets, Nicola Proksch and Nikola Mijailović
