“The Dubrovnik Summer Festival from the Croatian Television Archieves” presented last night in Slavica

As part of the programme “Dubrovnik Summer Festival from the Croatian Television Archieves”, a free projection of a featured documentary film “The 40th Anniversary of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival” directed by Stijepo Mijović Kočan, took place last night, July 13th at 9.30 p.m. in the Slavica Open-air Cinema.

Along with the “Memory Creators” art exhibition and remembering the Festival’s past seasons in honour of its 65th anniversary, the accompanying programme featured a film programme entitled  “The Dubrovnik Summer Festival from the Croatian Television Archieves”, consisting of several free projections in the Slavica Open-air Cinema, accomplished in collaboration with the Croatian Radio Television and the Cinematographers of Dubrovnik.  

“The 40th Year of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival”, a feature documentary film directed by Stijepo Mijović Kočan and produced by HRT in 1989, was the first film featured last night, 13th July at 9 p.m. in the Slavica Open-air Cinema.  The film, starring Perica and Maro Martinović, hadn't been shown in the past 20 years. The entrance to this, as well as all other archieve film projections that are a part of the Croatian Radio Television archieve collection, are free of charge.

The premiere of the documentary – film collage “Jupa at the Festival” will take place on 20th July, whereas the “65 Years of Uncle Maroje at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival” is scheduled for 23rd July and 10th August.
