Audience enthusiastically cheered to Yuri Favorin

Russian pianist Yuri Favorin held last night, 24 August, final concert as part of a new music program on the 67th Dubrovnik Summer Festival entitled Key to the future and concluded the concert season of the Festival in the Rector's Palalce atrium. The repertoire consised of Franz Liszt's Sonata in B minor, Manuel de Falla's Fantasía Bética and Hommage à Debussy, Debussy's Préludes selection from Book 1 and 2 which included La puerta del Vino (The Wine Gate), La danse de Puck (Puck's Dance) and Feux d'artifice (Firework) as well as Ravel's La Valse. 

Thunderous applause and shouts "Bravo, bravo, bravo" echoed the Rector's Palace. Cheerful Favorin greeted the thrilled audience with three musical encores choosing works of Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev.

Key to the Future, as a new program at the 67th Dubrovnik Summer Festival, presented the festival audience first-class musicians. Young virtuoses by winning awards at many international competitions found themselves at the top of the world of classical music. The festival audience will surely cheer the information that two laureates Andrew Tyson and Yury Favorin are going to stay in Dubrovnik in late summer, and tomorrow Favorin will again perform live in front of Dubrovnik's audience.
