Ballet Lovers Enjoy Delightful Evening on Revelin Fort Terrace

The ballet concert, which took place on Fort Revelin, consisted of classical and contemporary ballet fragments, which included fragments from the ballet “The Sleeping Beauty”, “Corsaire”, “Paquita”, “Esmeralda”, “Don Quixote” and “The Talisman” according to the choreography by Marius Petipa, fragments from the ballet „Cipollino“, choreographed by A. Lukjanov, who modeled after G. Majorov, “The Nutcracker” choreographed by Aleksandar Lukjanov, contemporary ballets “Midnight Waltz”, “The Balkans” and “Isolate” choreographed by Ivica Bago, “Wounded” choreographed by Aleksandar Lukjanov, as well as Hungarian, Irish and Gypsy character dances, also choreographed by Aleksandar Lukjanov.

 The Summer Ballet School is a joint project of the Luka Sorkočević Art School’s ballet department and the artistic organization B.F.K., in which young ballet dancers from across the globe go through an intensive two-week classical and contemporary ballet programme under the guidance of world renowned ballet artists. This year’s lecturers are Nina Semizorova, ex prima ballerina of the Boljšoj Theatre and receiver of numerous awards and acknowledgements, today’s ballet master and pedagogue of the Boljšoj Theatre and lecturer at the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts, along with Aleksandr Lukjanov, former ballet leader of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, first soloist of the National Opera and Ballet in Kiev and visiting soloist in the Boljšaj Theatre and Kirov Ballet, who is also the Art Director of the B.F.K. organization, and Ivica Bago, Croatian dancer and contemporary dance choreographer.
