The Sudar Percussion ensemble, alongside Matej Meštrović on the piano, performed on 11th July in the Marin Držić Theatre thrilling the enthusiastic audience.
Matej Meštrović and the Sudar Percussion, which consists of some of the best percussionists in the region, have created a completely new musical direction, therefore creating „a true little miracle of a tasteful, lucid and intriguing combination of classical, jazz, rock, pop and etno music“ , which the Festival's audience had a chance of witnessing.
The unique amusing evening began with a projection of a 30-minute musical documentary by Arsen Oremović about the making of “Eat Suite”, the ensemble's album, in the Palace of Sv Križ, in the region of Hrvatsko Zagorje, followed by a creative, playful and witty performance of compositions from their latest album “Eat Suite“. The performance received a well-deserved standing ovation from the audience, which was later handed out musical accessories. The audience itself had the chance to participate in the performance using rattles to follow the rythm, as it did in the night of the Festival's opening. Upon the concert's ending, the Festival's audience, all in good spirits, congratulated the artists thanking them for an interesting and fun evening.
