He performed at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival for the first time in 1986, at the age of nine years. He gladly returns to the festival audience, so this will be his eight time at the Festival. Milenkovich is a winner of many prestigious international awards including the Orlando Award for his performance at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival in 1990. Stefan Milenkovich enjoys a prolific career as an internationally sought-after soloist and recitalist, with an extraordinary productive longevity, professionalism and creativity. On this occasion he will be accompanied by Rohan de Silva, known for partnering with violin virtuoso Itzhak Perlman in worldwide recitals and performing with every notable violinist of this time. He is an honoured guest at the White House were he, at the invitation of President Barack Obama, in 2012 performed for Shimon Peres; and at a State Dinner in 2007 hosted by President George W. Bush for Queen Elizabeth. A native of Sri Lanka, Mr. de Silva was invited in 2015 by the Prime Minister of his country to perform for U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on his historic visit to Sri Lanka.
The music duo will perform Tartini's famous Sonata for Violin and Piano in G minor, known as the Devil’s Trill, Beethoven's Sonata No. 7 in C minor, Sarasate's Introduction and Tarantella, Wieniawsky's Legende and Tchaikovsky's Valse-Scherzo.
