Wagner, Tchaikovsky and Dvořák to Be Performed by the Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra on Ruđer Bošković Square

The Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra was founded in 2001 as a representative musical composition of the Vojvodina region. Over the past decade, it has successfully performed over seventy premiere programmes in collaboration with internationally acknowledged foreign and domestic conductors and soloists, drawing numerous audiences used to its symphonic sound quality, performance discipline, certainty and the uniformity of their playing. Berislav Skenderović is the founder, as well as the director and artistic director of the Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra. In his rich career as a host-conductor, he has performed alongside leading orchestras in Germany, Poland, Hungary, Greece, Russia, Italy, Portugal, Mexico, Canada, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Korea, the USA, including a successful performance in the Carnegie Hall in New York. Rijeka-born Marco Graziani is the proud owner of two Stjepan Šulek state awards. He also acts as a concert master of the Croatian National Theatre orchestra in Zagreb.   

The programme consists of the Overture from the opera Tannhäuser by Richard Wagner, Violin Concerto in D major by P.I. Tchaikovsky and Dvořák’s Symphony No. 7 in D minor, which is considered to be his greatest work.
