Impressive performance by soprano Julia Lezhneva and La Voce Strumentale Ensemble
As part of the music programme of the 72nd Dubrovnik Summer Festival, last night, 25 July in the Rector’s Palace atrium one of the leading voices of her generation, young soprano Julia Lezhneva and the renowned La Voce Strumentale Ensemble led by violinist and conductor Dmitry Sinkovsky with Luca Pianca on lute performed choice repertoire of best 18th century opera composers, surpassing all expectations of the audience at this highly anticipated event.

The final concert after Petrit Çeku’s week-long guitar masterclass was held by the participants last night, 24 July, at the Bunić-Kaboga Summer Villa, with the young musicians also receiving their participation certificates.
Traditional Linđo dances delight festival crowd in front of the Cathedral
The Linđo Folklore Ensemble performed last night, 23 July, in front of the Cathedral, delighting both local and foreign audiences. Linđo will have another performance at the 72nd Festival, on 22 August, again in front of the Cathedral.
Mara and Kata are back!
Last year’s Festival hit, an original project by Saša Božić done in collaboration with Nataša Dangubić and Doris Šarić Kukuljica, the play Mara and Kata, will have an incredible eight performances at the 72nd Festival due to enormous interest. The play will be performed twice a night at Kazerma below St. Mary’s on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 26, 27 and 28 July, at 9.30pm and 11pm, then again on 7 and 8 July at 9.30pm at the same unique venue. Tickets for all performances have been sold out.

On the evening programme is choice repertoire of best 18th century opera composers.
Magelli’s Hamlet returns gloriously to Lovrjenac
The award-winning premiere production of the anniversary 70th Dubrovnik Summer Festival, Shakespeare’s Hamlet directed by the great Paolo Magelli and performed by the Festival Drama Ensemble, which is led by the brilliant Frano Mašković as the titular Danish prince, was performed last night, 21 July on the Lovrjenac fort. The already sold-out play is on the programme until 24 July.
Upcoming Linđo performances in front of the Cathedral at the 72nd Festival
The Linđo Folklore Ensemble will hold their now traditional performance at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, this time in front of the Cathedral, on 23 July at 9.30pm and then again on 22 August, at 9pm.

Final concert of Petrit Çeku’s guitar masterclass participants
On Saturday, 24 July at 9pm at the Bunić-Kaboga Summer Villa the participants of Petrit Çeku’s guitar masterclass will hold a concert. Entrance is free but due to the limited number of seats, the free tickets need to be picked up at the Festival Palace ahead of time.
Acclaimed Hamlet returns to Lovrjenac Fort
The acclaimed premiere title of the anniversary 70th Dubrovnik Summer Festival, a Paolo Magelli take on Shakespeare’s Hamlet, performed by the Festival Drama Ensemble returns again to the Lovrjenac Fort and will be played there on 21, 22, 23 and 24 July at 9.30pm as part of the 72nd Festival and its drama programme. All dates have been sold out.
