Closing gala concert in front of Cathedral

A performance of Croatian Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Ivo Lipanović and with international opera stars, soprano Lana Kos and baritone Željko Lučić will close the 71. Dubrovnik Summer Festival on Tuesday, 25 August at 10.25 pm in front of the Cathedral. The closing ceremony will be live broadcasted on the HRT3 programme of Croatian National Television.

Držić's "Grižula" premiere in Gradac Park

Marin Držić’s play Grižula directed by Saša Božić and Petra Hrašćanec will have its premiere tonight, 20 August in Gradac Park,. This last premiere of this year’s Festival will be performed by the members of the Festival Drama Ensemble with the participation of Acting and Dance students of the Academy of Dramatic Art, University of Zagreb.

Dance performance ''Embrace'' premiere in Lazareti

The dance performance "Embrace" produced by the Vitlycke - Centre for Performing Arts in Sweden based on joint choreography of three dancers Meleat Fredriksson, Adam Seid Tahir and Lydia Östberg Diakité had its premiere, as part of the "Future Epics" EU project, last night 17 August in Lazareti.

Long-term partner of the Festival OTP banka donated 180,000 kuna for"Grižula" premiere

Croatian OTP bank has donated HRK 180,000 for the drama premiere ''Grižula'' by Marin Držić, and with the donation continued almost a three-decade-long tradition of supporting the Dubrovnik Summer Festival. Josipa Vodenac, director of the Dubrovnik and Southern Dalmatia Business Cente for OTP bank, presented the check to director of Dubrovnik Summer Festival, Ivana Medo Bogdanović.

Great festival performance by Papandopulo Quartet

Papandopulo Quartet known as the most significant Croatian chamber ensemble, prepared a real musical treat for the festival audience last night, 16 August, in the Rector's Palace atrium, performing selected music of the "iron" repertoire for saxophone quartet and the music of Croatian contemporary composers Boris Papandopulo, Petar Obradović and Gordan Tudor.

Dubrovnik on a Rock of Music in the Rector's Palace Atrium

The concert entitled Dubrovnik on a Rock of Music which brings together an exciting ensemble of Dubrovnik musicians, an unusual selection of instruments and prominent personalities will be held, with the support of Caboga Stiftung, on Tuesday, 18 August at 9.30 pm in the Rector's Palace atrium. "Grižula" premieres in Gradac Park

The last drama play at the 71 Dubrovnik Summer Festival, Marin Držić comedy "Grižula" directed by Saša Božić and Petra Hrašćanec and performed by the Festival Drama Ensemble in collaboration with the Zagreb Academy of Dramatic Arts, is on the program on Thursday, 20 August at 9.30 pm in Gradac Park as a part of the European project "Future Epics ".

Dance performance "Embrace" on Monday in Lazareti

The dance performance "Embrace" by choreographer Meleat Fredriksson, produced by the Vitlycke Center for the Performing Arts in Sweden, will be premiered as part of the "Future Epics" project co-financed by the European Union's Creative Europe program on Monday, 17 August at 9.30 pm in Lazareti.

Exhibition "Time Out" at Sponza Palace until the end of the Festival

Viktor Daldon's "Time Out" exhibition, which presents twelve large-format canvases not yet exhibited, created from 2004 to 2020, was opened last night, 11 August in the Sponza Palace Atrium. The exhibition will be on display every day from 9 am to 9 pm until 25 August.
