Dubrovnik on a Rock of Music tonight in the Rector's Palace Atrium

Dubrovnik musicians gathered under by the unique music programme Dubrovnik on a Rock of Music, with soloists Đive Franetović Kušelj on the flute and mezzo-soprano Dubravka Šeparović Mušović, all under the baton of Tomislav Fačini, will be performing tonight, 22 August at 9.30 p.m. in the Rector’s Palace Atrium, works by Ravel, Hindemith, Osghian and De Falla.

Time of Aretej Documentary premiered at Jadran Cinema

The Croatian Radiotelevision documentary Time of Aretej was premiered last night, 20 August at the Jadran Open-air Cinema. The film was created on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the premiere of the play Aretej at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, and along with the editor, screenwriter and director Lada Džidić Barić, the Festival’s Artistic Director Dora Ruždjak Podolski addressed the gathered audience with a few words on the film and on Aretej.

Linđo Folklore Ensemble took the Gradac Park stage

The Linđo Folklore Ensemble held a performance last night, 19 August in Gradac Park, their second at the 73rd Dubrovnik Summer Festival, to the delight of a large audience of both keen locals and curious foreigners.

The Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra under the baton of maestro Dawid Runtz held a superb concert, sponsored by Kraš, last night, 18 August in the Rector’s Palace Atrium with young soloists Veronika Ćiković on the harp and Lucija Stilinović on the flute.

Notice about change of performer at the closing concert of the 73rd Dubrovnik Summer Festival

The closing concert of the 73rd Dubrovnik Summer Festival will be held on Thursday, 25 August at 10 p.m. in front of the Cathedral, but due to the originally announced soprano Nadine Sierra falling ill, the winner of the Operalia competition Adela Zaharia, a soprano who captivates the audience with her voice, will be performing instead.

Lero's Ladies' Park at Lazareti

Arnab Bhattacharya and Rohen Bose presented Indian classical music

Indian musician and composer Arnab Bhattacharya performed on the sarod last night, 14 August in the Sponza Palace Atrium, accompanied by Rohen Bose on the tabla on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the celebration of 75 years of Indian independence.
