I.N.K. Experiment Duo is a dynamic and creative percussion duo, interested in classical music as well as new styles and collaboration with composers and artists of different backgrounds.

Passion, spontaneity and flexibility of their performances arise from artistic curiosity and various musical experiences – from rock and pop to contemporary, experimental and traditional music, which creates an explosive cocktail in combination with their classical education.

They regularly commission and premiere new compositions (by Teodora Stepančić, Jean-Luc Rimey Meille, Sonja Kalajić, Ksenija Komljenović, Gordon Stout, Lucas Guinot…) and arrange music of various genres.

At the moment they are working on several international projects: INKarnation – tango crossover trio with bandoneon, Watchers of the Skies – arrangements of rock classics of the 70s for percussion, and ElektroINKement – electro-acoustic project with residency at Scène Nationale Evreux Louviers.

The duo has performed at international festivals in Germany, the Netherlands, the USA, China, France, Switzerland and Croatia (Zeltsman Marimba Festival, Amsterdam Marimba Week, Percussive Society International Convention in Minneapolis, IBMW, l`Ateliers, KALIMA, Teng Yu Ning Xin Festival) and they regularly hold international master classes.

IVANA KULJERIĆ BILIĆ is an internationally recognised marimba virtuoso and a versatile percussionist.

She regularly performs with various European orchestras (Danish National Symphony Orchestra, Witold Lutosławski Philharmonic Orchestra, Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra, Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, Dohnányi Orchestra Budafok, Presidential Symphony Orchestra Ankara...) and participates in chamber, stage and crossover productions in halls like Merkin Hall in New York, Palacio de las Bellas Artes in Mexico City or Franz Liszt Concert Hall in Budapest.

She also performs at international festivals (Musicora Paris, Tempus fugit Tel Aviv, Dubrovnik Summer Festival…). Ivana regularly holds master classes (Manhattan School of Music, Boston Conservatory, Merton College Oxford, Birmingham Conservatory, Bruckner University Linz, Mozarteum Salzburg) and performs at marimba festivals in Europe, South America, China and the USA.

She is a jury member for various marimba and percussion competitions (Salzburg, Stuttgart, Paris, Linz, Timişoara, Munich…). She has performed as a solo timpanist for years, first with the orchestra of the Opera of the Croatian National Theatre Zagreb, and afterwards with the Symphony Orchestra of the Croatian Radio and Television.

In 2008 she launched Ivana Bilic Marimba Week, an annual percussion festival under the auspices of the Samobor Music Festival.

She won all of the most important Croatian awards for performance and discography. Ivana is the author of several compositions for percussion published by Edition Svitzer, Malletworks and Cantus. In 2017 she composed several works commissioned by the French Conservatory in Evreux: Etudes fantasques – music for contemporary dance, percussion, synthesizer, electric guitar, bass guitar, electric harp, flute and alto saxophone, and Sunrise – Concert for percussion and wind orchestra.

Since 2014 she closely collaborates with Nikola Krbanyevitch in I.N.K. Experiment Duo. They perform at festivals in Europe, the USA and China and collaborate with artists of different backgrounds.

She graduated in class of professor I. Lešnik and currently teaches as Associate Professor at the Zagreb Academy of Music.

Ivana is a Marimba One artist with her own signature line of mallets.

NIKOLA KRBANYEVITCH is a musician of mixed French-Serbian origin, whose artistic path is influenced by two different cultures. After studying piano, music theory and percussion in Belgrade, he studied in France at Conservatories in Montpellier and Perpignan and graduated percussion and music pedagogy from the College for Music and Dance at the University of Toulouse.

Nikola is a versatile musician, equally active in various music genres – contemporary, rock, as well as traditional, and he performs with various ensembles, both as vocalist (Antiphona) and percussionist (Boris Pašćan Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, Contrepoint Orchestra, Aeolus Brass Orchestra, Lamoureux Orchestra). His interest in multicultural projects led to creation of the Balkan Project Orchestra. His other occupations include art photography, home design and audio and video editing.

He was a member of the Board of the French Percussion Association. He is a professor of percussion at the Conservatory in Evreux in Normandy and holds workshops of traditional and jazz music.

In 2014 he created I.N.K. Experiment Duo with Ivana Kuljerić Bilić as a platform for developing artistic ideas combining instruments, voice, electronics and multimedia.
