'Franz Kafka' Exhibition by Dimitrije Popović in Dubrovnik
The 'Franz Kafka' exhibition by renowned painter Dimitrije Popović was opened at Friday at Sponza Palace.

The exhibition is inspired with one of the most influential writers of 20th century, Franz Kafka and his famous The Metamorphosis, sujet of which is not simple fantasy, but rather troubling reality, the image of tragically nature of human consciousness. The painter finds the writer's character interesting as well, and used Kafka's two most used photographs as models for the paintings at this exhibition. Dimitrije Popović is reputable Croatian painter who had more than sixty standalone exhibitions in Croatia and Europe and also numerous European collective exhibitions. Popović is the winner of more than twenty Croatian and international awards and honors. His works are exhibited in over thirty museums and galleries in Croatia and worldwide. He published eleven graphics series, six monographs have been published and seven films made about the painter so far.
