Grand session of the Festival's commitee held
The grand session of the Festival's commitee has been held today, on the 10th of July in the Festival's palaceunder the chairmaniship of the Minister for Culture of the Republic of Croatia, mr.sc Jasen Mesić.

The grand session has numbered many guests: the mayor of Dubrovnik, mr.sc. Andro Vlahušić, deputy of the prefect of the Dubrovnik- Neretva prefecture Marija Vučković, intendant of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival dr.sc. Ivica Prlender, assistant of the intedant for the drama program Dora Ruždjak, assistant of the intendant for the musical program Ivan Repušić, state secretary Nina Obuljen and council member Joško Juvančić
The council has accepted the financial and art program and wished for a successful 62nd Dubrovnik Summer Festival which will host its grand opening tonight at 9 pm in front of St. Blaise's church.
The Festival continues to attract famous artists from all around the world, as more than 2000 artists will perform and baffle the audience with their talents. By August 25th on almost a dozen scenic and ambiental locations throghout the renaissance town of Dubrovnik, more than 80 drama, musical, dance and opera events will take place.
