Festival hosting “Timon of Athens“ on 20th and 21st July

It is the Dubrovnik Summer Festival pleasure to announce that it will be hosting the Split Summer Festival with the eulogistic Shekaspeare's “Timon of Athens“ directed by Georgij Paro on 20th  and 21st  July.

The premiere of “Timon of Athens“ was performed last year at the Split Summer Festival. It was critically acclaimed and well received by the audience. This seldom performed Shakespeare's piece was directed by Georgij Paro, scenography created by Dinka Jeričević, costume design by Dijana Kosec Bourek, music by Gordan Tudor, light production by Miljenko Bengez and sound production by Tomislav Luetić. Vilim Matula starrs as Timon, alongside Vladimir Posavec Tušek, Filip Radoš, Mijo Jurišić, Goran Marković, Trpimir Jurkić, Sreten Mokrović, Arijana Čulina, Žarko Radić, Nenad Srdelić, Josip Zovko and others in supporting roles.

Despite the play's recent cancellation, and with the help of the Ministry of Culture, “Timon of Athens” will be performed at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival on 20th and 21st July, starting at 9.30 p.m. in the Center for Advanced Adacemic Studies Atrium in Dubrovnik, whereas the play’s second part will take place in the park of the University of Dubrovnik. Tickets are available at a price range between 175 to 200 kn.
