The book “Joško Juvančić Jupa”, published by the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, is split into three pieces: the first a detailed study of the chronological tracking of the complete theatrical path of Joško Juvančić, with the second part set in a bit more casual tone, made as a collage of photos and fragments, as well as texts about his contribution and work with the Festival. The third part a theatrical addition with a list of theatre plays directed by Juvančić and some basic biography information. An important segment of this book, written and organized by Hrvoje Ivanković with art arrangements by Luka Gusić, is an enormous amount of photos from the time detailing the days where Juvančić created and transferred his ideas into reality. A DVD containing the documentary film “Jupa na Igrama” comes with the book, made and directed by Hrvoje Juvančić in cooperation with the Croatian Radio Television.
On the presentation of the book “Joško Juvančić Jupa”, together with its main actor Joško Juvančić, many others participated: the intendant of the Festival Ivica Prlender, the author and organizer Hrvoje Ivanković, the president of HDDU, Goran Grgić together with members of the Festival drama ensemble who read several short fragments from the monograph, while the audience had the chance to see a seven minute summary of the movie “Jupa na Igrama” which has been specially created for this occasion by its author, Hrvoje Juvančić.
