“The Delivered” once again on the stage of the devastated hotel Belvedere
Play „The Delivered“ by the contemporary Croatian author, playwright and novelist, Tomislav Zajec and directed by Franka Perković, which had a premiere in 2010, during the 61st Dubrovnik Summer Festival, will be performed this year again – from the 15th to the 18th of July at 9:30 pm on the stage of the devastated hotel Belvedere.
The “The Delivered“ (2009) is the last part of a trilogy, preceded by the plays „Dorothy Gale“ (2007) and „Astronauts“ (2008). The play brings a story of 9 people who meet at the time of a traffic accident, and after one year passes, we find them when they grapple with the consequences of this misfortune, as well as who they are. The play is about the personal fight of individuals finding rescue in their own lives, and sending a message that only we as an individual are the only ones who can fight it.
This internal struggle is well known to all individuals, and scenes are happening in which people discover that they are their won heroes who can persevere, and despite differences find a way to comfort and help each other. The cast is made by Nataša Dangubić, Filip Juričić, Milka Podrug Kokotović, Bojan Navojec, Nikša Butijer, Aleksandra Stojaković, Silvio Vovk, Franjo Dijak and others. With screenplay by Ivo Knezović, costumes by Marita Ćopo, and light design by Zoran Mihanović, and with Frano Đurović as music author, coupled with Pravdan Devlahović as the author for the stage movements, this year’s performance of the “Rescued” is sure to leave the audience pleased.
Tickets for this contemporary play are available in more than 200 places in Croatia at a price from 100 to 250 kuna. The city transportation company Libertas is arranging transport from Ploče to hotel Belvedere at 9:15 pm.
