It is a great pleasure to invite you to take part in a press conference on 12 May at 01:00 p.m. in City Hall in Mostar due to Dubrovnik Summer festival's guest performance at Matica Hrvatska Days with a play "An Island on Which Time Has Stood Still" (on 13, 14 May; Under the Old Bridge) directed by Vanja Matujec and performed by Festival Drama Ensemble. The play was nominated by Croatian Association of Dramatic Artists in 2 categories: for the best child's play and for the best male part in child's play.

American Theatre Magazine published the annual calendar of international theatre festivals, featuring dates, photos and contact information for summer events worldwide. Plus, first-hand reports on indigenous theatres from around the world, including Dubrovnik Summer Festival. American Theatre Magazine one of the most important American Magazines published an article and a photo of a play "Grižula" that You can see this summer in Dubrovnik. Under title "All the world's a stage" written by Nicole Estvanik and Cassandra Johnson You can find the text with a brief review of "Grižula" and an announcement of this season's drama program.

FESTSPIELE Magazin, one of the most important European music magazines, dedicated 2 pages to Dubrovnik Summer Festival in its latest edition! A text titled "Schone Utopie"(Beautiful Utopia), written by Branimir Pofuk gives only a piece of what will be happening on Dubrovnik streets, forts, palaces, museums...FESTSPIELE Magazin has been devotedly following Dubrovnik Summer Festival for last three years by publishing its program, photos and critics. In the same issue of this magazine, stories and interviews with stars, such as Ramon Vergas, whose concerts became tradition at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, Ricardo Muti, Zubin Mehta, and Jose Carreras were published. The magazine also presented the world best manifestations and Dubrovnik Summer Festival is included on the list!

On the 26th of June 2005 at 11 a.m. a round table took place in foyer of Šibenik Theatre under supervision of Mr. Ivo Brešan. Mrs. Jasenka Ramljak, director of International Children’s Festival, Mr. Ivica Kunčevic, drama program director of Dubrovnik Summer Festival, Mrs. Vanja Matujec, author and director of the play “The Island Where The Time Has Stood Still”, reporters, photographers, and the little ones; editors- reporters of children’s bulletin were present at this event.

On today’s press conference that was held in Dubrovnik Summer Festival’s Palace, it was talked about the performance of Croatian National Theatre of Zagreb, A Streetcar Named Desire, which will take place tonight in Fort Revelin.
Dinko Bogdanić, ballet director of Croatian National Theatre of Zagreb, pointed out that original set is intended for a smaller, more intimate environment however, to adapt to the proportion of the fort, they had to made some set changes.

It is our pleasure to invite you to the press conference on 23rd of July at 10 AM in DSF press center where Chinese cellist Trey Lee, winner of the 2004 International A. Janigro Cello Competition, who will play the same evening together with pianist Hans Eijsackers in Rector’s Palace Atrium, will be presented to you.
Purcell Quartet and dancers Ana Yepes and Nick Nguyen will also attend the press conference. Their musical-dance performance is on 24th of July in Rector’s Palace Atrium.

TV crew that consists of Steve Janas, Jerker Olsson and Andres Nilsson are staying in Dubrovnik from 3rd to 7th of August 2005. They will be recording an half hour modernisticly outlined show about Dubrovnik, which will run on cable TV across USA.
Performance of folk ensemble Linđo on 5th of August on Revelin Fort Terrace aroused great interest of this charming trio.

In summer edition of GS Review, magazine of GS Hotels and Resorts group by Goran Štrok, 3 pages are dedicated to the 56th Dubrovnik Summer Festival. The article, along with many photographs, brings short history and summary of last year’s Festival and it’s success in national and international media. In addition, the article brings up sales data and internet services that the Festival provides.

It is our pleasure to invite you to the press conference on 25th of August 2005 at 11 AM in DSF press center where concept of final midnight DSF concert J. Lewis: A day in Dubrovnik will be introduced. The concert will be conducted by maestro Vjekoslav Šutej, performed by Zagreb soloists; Boško Petrović, vibraphone; Neven Frangeš, piano; Mario Mavrin, bass; Martin Drew, drums.
The concert will take place in front of St. Blaise’s Church at midnight and afterwards Libertas flag will be scaled down from Orlando’s column. Festival will then be proclaimed closed.

In 56th Dubrovnik Summer Festival program, more then 2000 artists from around 20 countries ( England, Slovenia, Austria, China, Monaco, Korea, Russia, Finland, Japan, Czech Republic, Germany, India, Denmark, Egypt, Mexico, France, Israel...) took part and performed 90 programs on 19 ambiental venues:
34 drama 36 musical 3 dance 12 folk 5 other programs – homage a Zvonimir Lončarić, movie projection, book promotion, projection of world's best ads.
Due to whether conditions one play was cancelled: the second performance of Don Quijote on 22 of August
