“Songs of European Nations” in the Rector’s Palace
LADO performed last night, on July12 in crowded Rector’s Palace with a convenient program titled “Songs of European nations”.
With the last night’s concert, LADO continues its tradition of successful performances at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival and has managed, once again, to distinguish itself as the foremost and most represented Croatian folklore ensemble. The audience in the Rector’s Palace enjoyed the melodies which are the common heritage of many European nations. In the year of Croatia successfully completing negotiations of joining the European Union the repertoire has, quite convenient, encompassed Croatian, Slovenian, Bulgarian, Italian, Greek, English, French, polish, Catalonian, Slovakian, Hungarian, Ukrainian, German, Swedish, Jewish, Romanian, Lithuanian, Danish and Czech songs.
The concert of the LADO ensemble at the 62nd Dubrovnik Summer Festival last night and the LADO’s dance performance tonight at the Revelin Fort has been supported by INA - the Croatian national oil company.
