The absolute laureate of the 58th Pula Film Festival
The winner of the Great Golden Arena on this year’s Pula featured film festival – the humorous drama “Kotlovina” of director Tomislav Radić, was shown as part of the accompanying program of the 62nd Dubrovnik Summer Festival on Saturday, the 30th of July, in the Visia Cinema.
The movie of director and screenplay editor Tomislav Radić is an absolute laureate of the mid section of the National program of the Pula festival of featured film where it has been awarded with an astonishing six Golden Arena’s – the Great Golden Arena for best movie was given to Tomislav Radić, for best female role to Mirela Brekalo Popović, for the role of Ana, for best male role to Draško Zidar for the role of Mirko, for best supporting role to Boris Buzančić for the role of Dida, while a special Golden Arena has been awarded for tone, to Frano Homen. The movie “Kotlovina” has received the Oktavijan award of the Croatian Society of film critics.
As is stated in the explanation of the decision, the movie “Kotlovina” has won the award for best movie due to the “style, idea and direction, couple with a convincing show of one seemingly unimportant family dynamic that, as whole defines the country we live in today”. The entrance was free.
