The General Rehearsal for the Opening Ceremony

An event that the audience couldn't wait to start – the General Rehearsal for the grand opening of the  62nd Dubrovnik Summer Festival – was traditionally held the day before the opening itself, on Saturday, the 9th of July, at midnight in front of St. Blaise’s church.
general_rehearsal.JPGWith the Festival drama ensemble performing and with the screenplay and direction firmly in the hands of Dora Ruždjak, with music by Frano Đurović, costumes by Danica Dedijer and maestro Ivan Repušić  conducting both the Dubrovnik symphony orchestra and the Zagreb Philharmonic, this will  surely be a night to remember. The sopran Valentina Fijačko, a well known guest of the Festival will take part in the musical part of the programme.
