Pepe Romero thrilled the audience at his first Croatian performance
World famous Spanish guitarist Pepe Romero performed first time in Croatia, with the Zagreb Soloists as part of the Vip program of the 62nd Dubrovnik Summer Festival, on August 8, at the Rector's Palace in front of more than 500 people.
At the concert, artists performed String Symphony in G Major by Amando Ivančić, Sarabande by Arcangelo Corelli, Quintet for 2 violins, viola, cello and guitar in D major by Luigi Boccherini, Prelude and Scherzo for strings by Dmitry Shostakovich, Valse triste by Jan Sibelius, Concierto Festivo, concerto for guitar and strings by Ernesto Cordero and also, as first ever, performed composition Dubrovnik siesta by Olja Jelaska, with the attendance of the composer herself. Delightment of the audience was such that the artists at the end performed 2 musical additions. Pepe Romero met expectations of numerous audience in the crowded Rector's Palace Atrium, while, always exquisite, Zagreb Soloists will perform once again at the 62nd Dubrovnik Summer Festival – at the long awaited concert with the world famous cellists Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser, on August 9, at the Rector's Palace.
