James Ivory is the American director well known for the collaboration with deceased Indian producer Ismail Merchant and with the writer Ruth Prawer Jhabvala on the adaptations of literature works that possess refine visual characteristics and have historical context. His movies: A Room with a View, Howards End and The Remains of the Day made him a nominee for the Best Director Academy Award Oscar. He is also a winner of two BAFTA awards and the Venice Film Festival Award for the movies Maurice and Mr. and Mrs. Bridge, and other awards.
 Screenplay is work of Ruth Prawer Jhabvala based on Peter Cameron novel. The film stars Academy Award Winner Anthony Hopkins, three-time Academy Award nominee Laura Linney, Omar Metwally, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Hiroyuki Sanada, Norma Aleandro and Alexandra Maria Lara.
The premiere of the movie was in October at the Film Festival in Rome.
