The Premiere of Krešimir Seletković's Piece
Music program of the 61st Dubrovnik Summer Festival continued with a chamber concert performed by Leipzig String Quartet and Slovenian harpist Mojca Zlobko Vajgl in Rector's Palace at 9.30 PM on Tuesday, August 3.
Artists played compositions by A. Caplet, C. Debussy, C. S. Saensa, and R. Schumann but also a piece by Croatian compositor Krešimir Seletković „Four for a String Quartet„, a ten-minute composition written this year.
Leipzig String Quartet mostly plays chamber music, but also some contemporary pieces. Its repertoire contains around two hundred and fifty compositions by sixty compositors. At this year’s Festival it will perform with a soloist and chamber musician Mojca Zlobko Vajgl and this will be her second performance at Dubrovnik Summer Festival. She graduated at Music Academy after what she was engaged as solo harpist in orchestra of Slovensko Narodno Gledališče. Mojca performed with many orchestras and chamber ensembles in Slovenia and abroad, but was also hosted at many popular festivals. She was especially noticed by her cooperation with flautist of Vienna Symphony Dieter Flury and famous mezzosopranist Bernarda Fink with whom she performed at Dubrovnik Summer Festival. Her repertoire contains baroque, classical and contemporary music by Slovenian compositors.
