Jazz pianist Jacky Terrasson with the brilliant imagination for improvisation and his distinguished sound, is second year in a row guest at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival. Performing on the stages of prestigious festivals and concert halls around the world helped him to gain the reputation of being one of the greatest pianists of the generation. Terrasson studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, gathered experience playing in clubs around US and working with Arthur Taylor and Betty Carter bands. He is the winner of many awards among which is the Django d'Or for Best Jazz Album and Best Artist. The New York Times considers Terrasson to be one of the best young artists that will in future influence American culture the most.
Bass player Ben Williams is equally great when playing electric bas and piano. Williams is passionate about interpreting various sounds, from classic and jazz to hip hop, R&B or gospel music, exactly what eventually led to cooperation with Jacky Terrasson.
Drummer, composer, arranger and producer Terreon Gully is truly authentic and refine master of innovation of the drumming technique. He explores and has mastered variety of music styles from Afro-Cuban and funk to fusion, big band, rhythm and blues, hip hop and gospel. Gully cooperates with many established musicians like The Christian McBride Band, Stefon Harris, David Sanborn and others.
The passion these musicians share for the variety of music styles is what bonds them. The Trio thrilled the Festival's audience with their interpretation of fascinating jazz variations.
