Poetry and music evening
An evening of poetry and music that evokes the fragrance and lightness of Andalusia in the park of the Bunić-Kaboga Summer Villa, combining the poetry of Federico Garcia Lorca and the composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, specifically his Romancero Gitano performed by the Antiphonus Ensemble and the actors Gloria Dubelj and Marko Capor. Enjoy this unusual pop-up event specially created for the Dubrovnik audience in the environment of the Bunić-Kaboga Summer Villa, as an inauguration of the last drama premiere of the season, Lorca's Blood Wedding. Romancero Gitano transposes folklore into the realm of art music, but also to faithfulness to the verse that, flirting with the archetype, draws from the depths to create a general place, concrete, tangible and dry; like the scorched land of Andalusia and the exuberance of Granada. Pictures, sounds and words are River, Guitar, Knife, Castanets, Black Madonna and Christ, Castanets and Medusa.
Entrance is free, but due to the limited number of seats, it is necessary to collect free tickets in advance, available from 6 August at the Festival Palace Box Office.
