Aleksandar Švabić was born in 1987 in Pula, where he grew up. In 2008 he enrolled at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, where he lived and worked until moving to Zagreb in 2018. Since 2011 he has worked in Croatia and Serbia and directed twenty plays, focusing on the works by Bertolt Brecht. He was assistant to distinguished directors and has participated in numerous festivals in Croatia, Serbia, Italy, France, Bulgaria and Egypt. He won the Munja Award for innovation at the PUF International Theatre Festival in Pula for the play One Dead Man.
