Miron Hauser was born in Pula, in 1985. In 2011, he graduated from the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz in the class of Ed Neumeister, and specialising in jazz-trombone. A cum laude MA from Giuseppe Tartini Trieste followed in 2015. During his studies in Graz, Hauser attended seminars and workshops by leading jazz musicians and pedagogues across Europe, including Bob Brookmeyer, Luis Bonilla, Nils Wogram, Rick Margitz, Bart van Lier, Eric van Lier, Hein Van de Geyn, Glenn Ferris, Jerry Bergonzi, Phil Abraham, John Thomas, Miguel Zenon and many others. However, he had his first brushes with jazz long before any formal education as a part of Croatian music youth Jazz Orchestra (2004-2012), within which he had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most eminent musicians on the international jazz scene, such as Deborah Carter, Juan Garcia-Herreros, Andreas Haderer, Donny McCaslin, Kokan Dimusevski, Karolina Strassmayer, Toshiko Akiyoshi, Sherisse Rogers, Renée Manning, Joseph Bowie, Pete McGuinness, John Thomas, Mark Feldman, John Hollenbeck, Refuge Trio, Dave Liebman, Dena DeRose, Lasse Lindgren, Peter Erskine, Jim McNeely, Deborah Brown, Jonas Knutsson, Michael Philip Mossman, Don Menza, Man Sound, Miljenko Prohaska, Yellowjackets, Randy Brecker, Peter Herbolzheimer, Kristina Oberžan, Gustavo Bergalli, Victor Villena, Bob Mintzer and others. As of 2011, Hauser is a permanent member of the Croatian Radio and Television Jazz Orchestra. A member of Jazz Musicians’ Society of Istria, he is one of the founders of Jazzistra orchestra which was started in 2014, comprising of professional jazz performers from Istria. The last four years saw the orchestra hold six concerts, with Miron Hauser debuting as composer, author, maestro and soloist. With a particular interest in the latin style of music, he is a member of Slovene-Croatian FiloSofia Cuban band, as well as member and leader of Salsa sanduga group. Furthermore, Hauser is an occasional guest of the Croatian latin inspired group Cubismo, and he also performed with the hottest Cuban salsa group of recent times, the popular Maykel Blanco y su salsa mayor. From 2011 till 2016, he was a member of the beloved pop group Jinx. Apart from Jinx, he also collaborated with a slew of top Croatian musicians including Oliver Dragojević, Nina Badrić, Natali Dizdar, Jacques Houdek, Darko Rundek, Marko Tolja, Tony Cetinski and Gibonni. He is a part of the jazz sextet B's Funstallation as a trombone player, author and composer. The group recorded their first album in 2015, with the members’ original compositions and received for it a nomination for the renowned Croatian discography award Porin, category jazz album. Miron Hauser received Croatian Music Union Status award for best jazz-trombone player in 2015, 2018 and 2019. In the 2015/2016 concert season, Hauser hosted a musical evening, Tu fragrancia, with which he introduced himself as composer, director and soloist to the public. The evening’s programme was then again performed in Zagreb, Zadar, Koprivnica and Bucharest (Romania). With RTV Slovenia’s Big band he performed in their regular concert cycle, then in Pula and finally in Muggi (Italy). In the 2018/2019 concert season he conducted many concert and studio projects of the Croatian Radio and Television Jazz Orchestra. In September 2019, he was named the Artistic Director of the Croatian Radio and Television Jazz Orchestra.
