The 71st Dubrovnik Summer Festival will take place from 10 July to 25 August this year as announced, but in a reduced form due to the epidemiological (COVID-19) measures in Croatia and the world as well as other pandemics related factors.
International artists performances announced earlier in February have been cancelled due to travel hindrances and the budget cuts caused by the pandemic. Thus, this year’s festival programme will consist mainly of Croatian artist and all festival activities will adhere to epidemiological recommendations such as social distancing measures and others. Hopefully, we’ll be able to announce a new programme soon.
The easing of measures in Croatia has already started and now it is possible to re-organize cultural programmes and events outdoors as well as indoors. Dubrovnik has been corona-free for almost three weeks and the whole epidemiological situation in Croatia is now more than satisfactory.
At the moment there was only one new recorded COVID-19 case in Croatia on May 24. Also, out of 2.244 total cases since the beginning of the pandemic, 2.027 people have fully recovered. Only 118 cases of COVID-19 remain active with 99 deaths recorded to this day.
Given the restrictions that are in force to combat the spread of COVID-19, all frequently asked questions and answers about the conditions of entry into the Republic of Croatia are published on the official website of the Ministry of Interior: https://mup.gov.hr/uzg-covid/english/286212, and to be informed about the current epidemic situation in Croatia check the daily updates on the website: https://www.koronavirus.hr/en.
Looking forward to seeing you in Dubrovnik and at the Festival this summer.
