Final concert of Petrit Çeku’s guitar masterclass participants

On Saturday, 24 July at 9pm at the Bunić-Kaboga Summer Villa the participants of Petrit Çeku’s guitar masterclass will hold a concert. Entrance is free but due to the limited number of seats, the free tickets need to be picked up at the Festival Palace ahead of time.

 

The masterclass for guitar and chamber music led by eminent guitarist and Festival favourite Petrit  Çeku is held 18 to 24 July at the Luka Sorkočević Art School, as part of the 72nd Dubrovnik Summer Festival and sponsored by Caboga Siftung foundation. The focus of the masterclass is on interpretation, expressiveness and artistic growth of the musicians in a wider sense. Five participants are from Slovenia, Croatia and Kosovo with three students from Dubrovnik also in attendance. They will hold a final concert at the Bunić-Kaboga Summer Villa Saturday, 24 July at 9pm. Free tickets can be picked up as of today in the Festival Palace box office while their supplies last.

 

Petrit  Çeku will have another performance at the 72nd Festival, on 23 August in the Rector’s Palace atrium. On his guitar recital programme are pieces by Bach, Mozart and Beethoven in the first half of the performance and with Listeš, Barrios and Villa-Lobos in the second.

 

All 72nd Dubrovnik Summer Festival programmes are certified as safe gatherings, meaning the events will be organized according to current rules and recommendations by the national and local Civil Protection Headquarters and the World Health Organization, according to which maintaining physical distance of one seat with compulsory face masks has been deemed sufficient for audiences at low-risk events and the attendees are not obligated to present their EU digital COVID pass.
