Date created: 18.07.2020.

Piano duo Zrinka Ivančić Cikojević and Dalibor Cikojević performed as a part of the music program of the 71st Dubrovnik Summer Festival, last night, 17th of July, in the atrium of the Rector's Palace has performed music by Francis Poulenc, Darius Milhaud, and Boris Papandopulo.

Along with the dance and rhythms of French composers Poulenc and Milhaud, the concert program, as its central part, consisted of a dance suite by Croatian composer Boris Papandopulo Horoscope from 1935, which can be easily considered to be an undiscovered pearl of Croatian music. Last night the suite was a pleasant surprise for the festival audience's ear and eye, and for that, in addition to this perfectly coordinated piano duo, percussionists Karmen Pervitić and Fran Krsto Šercar with dancers Viktoria Bubalo and Šimun Stankov were a perfect match. The performance of twelve zodiac dances framed by wiggly French music was rewarded with a big round of applause that elicited a musical addition at the end of the evening - Dvořák's Slavic Dance in E minor.

Music program of the 71st Festival brings  Trio Eusebius, consisting of young violinist Eva Šulić, cellist Tonka Javorović, and pianist David Vuković which will perform on Friday, 24th of July July 24, starting at 9.30 pm, also in the atrium of the Rector's Palace.
