The Acclaimed Monodrama Room For A View Based on Virginia Woolf at the 70th Festival
Continuing the theatre programme of the anniversary 70th Dubrovnik Summer Festival, the monodrama Room For A View based on the Virginia Woolf short story The New Dress and directed by Marina Petković Liker, will be performed on the Bokar fort by Ivana Buljan Legati, on Saturday, 17 August at 9.30pm.

Legendary Pianist Ivo Pogorelich to Hold a Recital in the Rector's Palace
One of the greatest classical musicians of our time, the legendary pianist Ivo Pogorelich, will be performing at the anniversary 70th Dubrovnik Summer Festival on Sunday, 18 August, at 9.30pm in the Rector’s Palace. On the repertoire are Bach’s English Suite No. 3 in G minor, Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 11 in B flat major, Chopin’s Barcarolle and Prelude in C sharp minor, along with Ravel’s Gaspard de la Nuit.
The Belgrade National Theatre's Balkan Spy in the Gradac Park
The cult Dušan Kovačević satire Balkan Spy directed by Tatjana Mandić Rigonat and performed by the Belgrade National Theatre is next on the Festival’s drama programme, on Friday and Saturday, 16 and 17 August at 9.30pm in the Gradac Park. Both performances have been sold out.
Festival Backstage Through the Lens of Marko Ercegović
The third exhibition at the anniversary 70th Dubrovnik Summer Festival is the Festival Backstage by photographer Marko Ercegović which captures many fascinating, yet often unseen, goings-on behind the scenes of the Festival-making process. The exhibition will formally be opened on Saturday, 17 August, in the Sponza Palace atrium at 9pm.
Upcoming Concert of the Croatian Baroque Ensemble Under the Baton of Hervé Niquet in the Rector's Palace
Next on the anniversary 70th Festival’s music programme is the concert of the Croatian Baroque Ensemble under the baton of the world-renowned maestro Hervé Niquet, on Wednesday, 14 August, at 9.30pm in the Rector’s Palace atrium. The evening’s programme consists of Georg Friedrich Händel’s Concerto Grosso in D minor, Concerto for Organ and Orchestra in G Minor and F Major along with Georg Philipp Telemann’s Concerto for Violin, Cello, Trumpet and Strings in D Major and Overture-Suite in C-Major, “Hamburg ebb and flood.” Soloists Pavao Mašić on the organ, Laura Vadjon on the violin and Krešimir Fabijanić on the trumpet.
Last Linđo Performance of This Festival Season on Revelin Tomorrow
The fourth and final performance of the peerless Linđo Folklore Ensemble at the anniversary 70th Dubrovnik Summer Festival will be held tomorrow, 13 August, on the Revelin fort terrace at 9.30pm.

The Italian Associazione Figli d'Arte Cuticchio puppet theatre troupe led by Mimmo Cuticchio performed their children’s play Frenzy of Orlando last night, 11 August, on the Revelin fort terrace as part of the anniversary 70th Festival’s accompanying programme “City Keys” and on the occasion of the Year of Orlando.
The Little Prince Enchants both Kids and Grown-ups in the Rector’s Palace
The second premiere title of this Festival season is the Little Prince which had its first performance last night, 8 August, in the Rector’s Palace atrium, supported by the Caboga Stiftung foundation and Tekstilpromet. The musical theatre play based on the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry novella The Little Prince is directed by Hrvoje Korbar while Ivan Josip Skender did the musical score.
The Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra with Ivo Lipanović and violinist Katarina Kutnar in the Rector's Palace
In their second concert of this Festival season, the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra will be performing with the violinist Katarina Kutnar, under the baton of maestro Ivo Lipanović on Monday, 12 August, at 9.30pm in the Rector's Palace atrium. On the evening's programme are Concerto for violin and orchestra in D major by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Symphony No. 3 in E-flat major or ‘Eroica’ by Ludwig van Beethoven. Furthermore, music-lovers will surely be delighted by the first-ever performance of the Ciklus.mp3 composition by the Dubrovnik pianist and composer Ivan Violić.
