Janoska Ensemble present The Big B's at the Rector’s Palace

The Janoska Ensemble will perform on Monday, 24 July at 9:30 p.m. in the Rector’s Palace atrium their The Big B's programme, dedicated to musical greats whose surnames begin with the letter "B" but also to the almost forgotten art of improvisation.

New musical works performed in the Rector’s Palace as part of the #synergy Festival Tour

The musical programme of the 74th Dubrovnik Summer Festival was especially enriched by young regional composers and musicians who presented newly composed works at two concerts held on 19 and 20 July in the Rector’s Palace atrium. The new classical music pieces were inspired by local heritage and European values and written during the #synergy: Sharpening the capacities of the classical music industry in the Western Balkans project.

A great chamber music combination of the Zagreb Soloists and Marija Pavlović

In its 74th season, the Dubrovnik Summer Festival reunited the renowned string ensemble the Zagreb Soloists and the virtuoso clarinettist Marija Pavlović, who performed again on the festival stage in the Rector’s Palace atrium together last night, 18 July, after twenty-four years, and delighted the audience with a great chamber concert to boot.

Twelfth Night, or What You Will will premiere on Lovrjenac Fort

The second drama premiere of the 74th Dubrovnik Summer Festival is Twelfth Night, or What You Will by Grzegorz Jarzyna and Roman Pawłowski, based on William Shakespeare's play of the same name, and a co-production of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival and the Zagreb Youth Theatre. It will be performed from 21 July to 25 July at 9:30 p.m. on the Lovrjenac Fort.

Concert programme inspired by the local heritage of the Western Balkans

As part of the 74th Dubrovnik Summer Festival music programme, on 19 July and 20 July, two #synergy Festival Tour concerts will be held in the Rector’s Palace atrium at 9:30 p.m., where new compositions written for this occasion by young regional composers, inspired by the local heritage of the Western Balkans and European values, will be performed. Admission to both concerts is free.

Lovers return to St. Jacob’s

The play Lovers directed by Aleksandar Švabić and performed by the Festival Drama Ensemble is also part of the drama programme of the Festival this summer, with the first performance set for tomorrow, 19 July at 9:30 p.m. in front of St. Jacob’s Church.

The virtuoso ensemble Zagreb Soloists and renowned Croatian clarinettist Marija Pavlović will perform tomorrow, 18 July in the Rector’s Palace atrium at 9:30 p.m., the works by Weiner, Bjelinski, Mendelssohn and Tchaikovsky.
