Nuria Rial & Accademia del Piacere to start off the 73rd Festival music programme

Acclaimed Spanish soprano Nuria Rial and the Accademia del Piacere ensemble, led by the artistic director and author of the programme concept Fahmi Alqhai, will start off the music programme of the 73rd Dubrovnik Summer Festival with a concert in the atrium of the Rector’s Palace on Monday, 11 July at 9.30 p.m.

All Set for the 73rd Festival Opening Ceremony

The traditional raising of the Libertas flag to the verses of Ivan Gundulić’s Hymn to Liberty in front of St. Blaise’s Church, on 10 July at 9 p.m., will mark the start of the 73rd Dubrovnik Summer Festival, open from 10 July to 25 August with performances staged on almost twenty site-specific locations in Dubrovnik.

The 73rd Dubrovnik Summer Festival Opens on Sunday

The 73rd Dubrovnik Summer Festival will open on Sunday, 10 July at 9 p.m. in front of St. Blaise’s Church, with the traditional raising of the Libertas flag to the verses of Ivan Gundulić’s Hymn to Liberty. The rich and diverse programme, in which both local and foreign audiences of all ages will enjoy in the coming 47 festival days, was presented at the press conference held on Wednesday, 6 July in the Sponza Palace by the Festival’s POA Paulina Njirić and Artistic Director Dora Ruždjak Podolski, where the City of Dubrovnik Mayor Mato Franković and Head of the Administrative Department for County Affairs and the Dubrovnik-neretva County Assembly Leader Žaklina Marević showed their support for the Festival as well.

Longer Working Hours of the Festival Palace

Box Office

The box office at the Festival Palace (Od Sigurate 1) has new working hours as of tomorrow, 1 July! Tickets for more than 60 different events as well as festival souvenirs will be available for purchase every day from 9 am to 9.30 pm, until the Festival's closing.

73rd Dubrovnik Summer Festival Ticket Sale Starts Today

Tickets for over 60 theatre, music, dance and other events featured at the 73rd Dubrovnik Summer Festival are now available online via the Festival website www.dubrovnik-festival.hr and www.ulaznice.hr ticketing service, while the Box Office at the Festival Palace (Od Sigurate 1) will open on 20 June.

#synergy Project Workshop 'Professional Education and Classical Music' Held in Prishtina

As part of the #synergy: Sharpening the capacities of the classical music industry in the Western Balkans project, Kosovo’s Chopin Piano Fest have organized a workshop entitled “Professional Education and Classical Music“ in Prishtina, held from 9 May to 10 May, in which the Dubrovnik Summer Festival participated as a project partner.

'Developing Audiences for Classical Music' Workshop Held in Tirana as Part of the #synergy Project

The two day “Developing Audiences for Classical Music“ workshop organised by the Vox Baroque international festival from Albania was held from 28 March to 29 March in Tirana as part of the #synergy: Sharpening the capacities of the classical music industry in the Western Balkans on which the Dubrovnik Summer Festival are a project partner.

#synergy Project develops and encourages partnerships in West Balkans through music

The expert jury on the #synergy project, formed by respected classical music experts, have selected 12 composers who will take part in two-week residency programmes where they will be given an opportunity to promote their work, exchange experiences, and start creating newly commissioned works.
