Vedrana Pribačić and Mirta Puhlovski's documentary film Bigger Than Trauma, winner of the Grand Golden Arena at this year's anniversary 70th Pula Film Festival, was shown yesterday, 27 July at the Jadran Open-air Cinema in cooperation with Dubrovnik Cinemas as part of the 74th Dubrovnik Summer Festival.
Renowned Croatian bass-baritone Marko Mimica and Cuban pianist Marcos Madrigal will perform on Friday, 28 July at 9:30 pm in the Rector’s Palace atrium. The festival audience can expect an interesting musical evening with a lieder and arias programme specially created for the Dubrovnik Summer Festival.
The varied musical program of the 74th Dubrovnik Summer Festival continued last night, 26 July in the Rector’s Palace atrium with the virtuoso Krešimir Bedek’s guitar recital. Judging by the applause, the festival audience truly enjoyed the carefully crafted concert programme, which included the first performance of the Sonata Movement for Guitar by the Croatian composer Ivan Josip Skender.

The festival audience greeted this contemporary interpretation of the timeless classic with long applause and ovations.
The Janoska Ensemble will perform on Monday, 24 July at 9:30 p.m. in the Rector’s Palace atrium their The Big B's programme, dedicated to musical greats whose surnames begin with the letter "B" but also to the almost forgotten art of improvisation.
