“See How Lokrum Brushes Its Teeth” Premieres on 12 July at the Festival
The first drama premiere at the 74th Dubrovnik Summer Festival See How Lokrum Brushes Its Teeth, directed by Paolo Tišljarić, is a co-production by the Dubrovnik Summer Festival and the Marin Držić Theatre based on the eponymous Ivana Lovrić Jović novel. It is on the programme from 12 to 14 July on the island of Lokrum. With a discussion about the play, moderated by the Festival’s Assistant Artistic director for the theatre programme Saša Božić, director Paolo Tišljarić and actresses Marija Šegvić, Sandra Lončarić, Mirej Stanić and Anja Đurinović presented the premiere title this morning on the Arsenal restaurant terrace at the Gradska Kavana cafe.
Street Perfomances, Acrobatics, Aerial Silk and Various Pop-up Surprises Across Dubrovnik
The Dubrovnik Summer Festival have prepared a special preliminary festival programme that will present contemporary circus and street art, a rapidly developing form in Croatia and Europe, and to which the Festival wants to give special visibility. The programme, which will include various events such as street performances, acrobatics, aerial silk dance, clownery and object theatre, starts on 7 July and it will take place on different locations across Dubrovnik.
Press Conference Announces the 74th Festival
Nearly 70 theatre, music, dance, folklore, and other events which will be take place at various site-specific locations in Dubrovnik as part of the 74th Dubrovnik Summer Festival from 10 July to 25 August 25, were presented today at a press conference held in the Sponza Palace atrium. The Artistic Director of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival Dora Ruždjak Podolski and Executive Director Ivana Medo Bogdanović were joined by the City of Dubrovnik Mayor Mato Franković and the Head of the Administrative Department for County Affairs and the Dubrovnik-neretva County Assembly Leader Žaklina Marević in presenting the Festival programmes.
Another Festival Summer Is Ahead
This year the 74th Dubrovnik Summer Festival, held from 10 July to 25 August along various site-specific locations in Dubrovnik, will showcase almost 70 theatre, music, dance, folklore, and other programmes to local and foreign audiences during the 47 days.

Visual Identity of the 74th Festival: Zoran Đukić’s “New Citizens”
The visual identity of the 74th Dubrovnik Summer Festival, entitled “New Citizens,” is the latest design of visual communications expert Zoran Đukić, a sort of continuation of last year’s Between the Stone creative solution inspired by Dubrovnik’s ambience and natural elements, the flora growing from between the stones which are a key part of the city’s scenography.

Big names from the international music scene are coming to the 74th Dubrovnik Summer Festival stages. Among the many artists performing in Dubrovnik this summer, one of the best pianists today András Schiff stands out. He will open the music programme of the 74th Festival on 13 July in the Rector's Palace atrium. The German-French cellist Nicolas Altstaedt, a highly sought-after and versatile musician, will meet the Dubrovnik audience on a solo recital as well as a joint performance with the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra conducted by maestro Pavle Zajcev.

Tickets for new events at the upcoming 74th Dubrovnik Summer Festival are released online today and are available at the Festival website www.dubrovnik-festival.hr and via www.ulaznice.hr service. In addition to new music and dance events, tickets for Komedija Theatre’s most recent hit production, Velo misto, based on Miljenko Smoje's iconic work, which premiered in Zagreb at the beginning of March, are also available.
