Matija Dedić's hommage to his father Arsen Dedić in Rector's Palace

In the honour of his deceased father Arsen Dedić who was great musician and word class chanteur, Matija Dedić will perform on Tuesday 26 July, in Rector's Palace Atrium starting at 9:30 pm.

World Premiere of 4 SEASONS FOR 3 PIANOS at 67th Dubrovnik Summer Festival

Matej Meštrović, Matija Dedić and famous Turkish pianist Hakan Ali Toker will premiere The Four Seasons for 3 pianos at the 67th Dubrovnik Summer Festival, on Monday, 25 July, starting at 9.30 pm in front of the Rector's Palace. Matija Dedić will start the evening with performance of Badinerie by J. S. Bach, Hakan Ali Toker will then perform Bach's Toccata and Fugue in blue, which will be followed by the awaited world premiere of Meštrović’s adaptation of Vivaldi for three pianos.

Piano recital by Enrique Bátiz in Pridvorje on Saturday

The famous Mexican conductor and pianist Enrique Bátiz will have a piano recital in front of the Franciscan monastery in Pridvorje in Konavle region, on Saturday, 23 July beginning at 21:30. Discovering forgotten places outside the historical centre of Dubrovnik and around the county represents a novelty of this year’s program. No doubt that Maestro Bátiz will make summer eve in Pridvorje beautiful and special with the sonatas of Beethoven i Chopin. Bus transfer is organized and included in the entrance ticket price.

Drama Ensemble Gavella performs Moliere's "Le malade imaginaire"

Molière's " Le malade imaginaire" directed by Krešimir Dolenčić and performed by Drama Ensemble of Gavella Theater is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, 19th and 20th of July at 21: 30 in the Art school park. The festival audience will have the opportunity to watch, among others, Enes Vejzović in the role of self-deluded patient Argan, Barbara Nola in the role of Argan’s other wife Béline, and Anja Šovagović Despot, who’s great performance as the maidservant Toinette won her award for best actress on the 4th Days of Bobby's Laughter.

Place of culture: This is where the festival has begun

Dubrovnik Summer Festival, from its beginning in 1950, has become the oldest cultural institution in Croatia. It opens every year on the 10th of July and lasts for 47 days – until the closing ceremony on the 25th of August. During that time there is a rich and varied choice of cultural events, including theater, music, ballet and art exhibitions, all of the highest quality.
