Opera Gala on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of inclusion of the Old City of Dubrovnik on UNESCO's World Heritage List

The gala concert on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of inclusion of the Old City of Dubrovnik on UNESCO's World Heritage List and the 10th anniversary of inclusion of the Festivity of St Blaise on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, performed by the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra conducted by Ivan Josip Skender, with renowned soloists Marija Kuhar Šoša, Dubravka Šeparović Mušović, Domagoj Dorotić and Ljubomir Puškarić, will take place on Friday, 1 February at 20:00 at the main conference hall of Hotel Rixos Libertas. Tickets are available at the price of 70 KN and 100 KN.

"Port of Dreamers" project co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the EU has begun

Cultural and artistic project Port of Dreamers was presented by the Festival Artistic Director Dora Ruždjak Podolski, Assistant Artistic Director Saša Božić and project partners Milan Vračar from the Kulturanova civil society organisation from Novi Sad and Benjamin Virc from the Slovene National Theatre of Maribor on 16 December at the Festival Palace. The presentation was followed by Romana Pozniak’s lecture on migrations and asylum in the context of contemporary society and the lecture of Tvrtko Barun, the head of the Jesuit Refugee Service South-East Europe.

Symposium – Future Epics project - A public event with lectures and discussions at the Vitlycke Performing Arts Center

In September 2018, the Future Epics project was launched with the aim of linking various historical narratives and contemporary art through an online platform, with the active involvement of the target audience by gathering stories from different historical periods coming from partner countries and all across Europe, focusing on those which are ignored and less popular for various reasons – from politics to discrimination. This project is supported by Creative Europe, and implemented by Heartefact Fund (Serbia), together with its partners: Vitlycke Center for Performing Arts (Sweden), TASCA (Spain) and Dubrovnik Summer Festival (Croatia).
