71st Dubrovnik Summer Festival is now open

The 71 st Dubrovnik Summer Festival was open last night by raising its well know Libertas flag on the st. John fortress. The President of the Republic of Croatia Zoran Milanović, the Minister of Culture Nina Obuljen Koržinek and other high officials enjoyed the opening ceremony from Zrinski ship, and the rest of the festival audience was on the City walls as well on the boats in the Old City Port.

71st Dubrovnik Summer Festival will be open tonight

The 71 st Dubrovnik Summer Festival Opening Ceremony, directed by Marina Pejnović, will take place in the Old City Port (Porat) this Friday evening 10 July at 21:00 pm. During 47 days of the Festival, the audiences will be presented with nearly 50 theatre, music, dance, folklore and other performances on 13 site-specific locations in Dubrovnik.

The 71st Dubrovnik Summer Festival will traditionally be held from 10 July to 25 August, but in a reduced form due to epidemiological measures against COVID-19 currently in force in Croatia and worldwide and financial consequences of the pandemic.

The 71 st Dubrovnik Summer Festival Opening Ceremony and dress rehearsal - instructions for the audience

The 71 st Dubrovnik Summer Festival Opening Ceremony, directed by Marina Pejnović, will take place in the Old City Port (Porat) on Friday, 10 July at 21:00. The big and small pier and the area in front of the Arsenal will be turned into a stage, while the Libertas flag will be raised on St John’s Fort.

Tickets available at festival box office

From today onwards, our Sales Department located at the Festival Palace (Od Sigurate 1) is open for the purchase of entrance tickets for the events taking place at the 71st Dubrovnik Summer Festival, and the Box Office will be open from 9 am to 9.30 pm every day until the closing of the festival.

71st Dubrovnik Summer Festival tickets released for online sale

Tickets for most music, theatre and dance programmes that will be performed in the period from 10 July to 25 August this year at the 71st Dubrovnik Summer Festival are available online at the Festival website www.dubrovnik-festival.hr/eng and via www.ulaznice.hr ticketing service as of today, at prices reduced up to 50% compared to previous years.
