69th Festival | Orlando awards and the final press conference in Sponza Palace

The 69th Dubrovnik Summer Festival brought together almost 2,000 artists from all over the globe, who performed during 47 days from July 10 to August 25 at 30 ambience locations in Dubrovnik, in front of about 60,000 domestic and foreign spectators, with 86 dramatic, musical, dance, folklore, film, art and other programs. For the last day of this year's Festival, the press conference was held with the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Croatia Nina Obuljen Koržinek, the mayor of Dubrovnik Mato Franković and the deputy of Dubrovnik-Neretva County Žaklina Marević, who spoke about the success of the Festival. They were joined by Director of Croatian Radio and Television Kazimir Bačić, who referred to the cooperation of these two institutions, while executive director Ivana Medo Bogdanović and artistic director Dora Ruždjak Podolski. The morning continued with the Orlando Prize award ceremony of Croatian Radio Television for Best Performances in the Music and Drama Program of the 69th Dubrovnik Summer Festival. Orlando for the Best Performing Art in the Music Program of the Festival was won by the Russian pianist Daniil Trifonov for a recital held on August 6 in the atrium of the Rector's Palace, and Nataša Kopeč for the role of Olive in the drama "Under the Balconies" by Ranko Marinković directed by Dario Harjaček and dramatization by Vedran Klepica.
