Ivana Medo Bogdanović was born in Dubrovnik in 1979. She graduated in the English and French languages and literature from the University of Zadar in 2002 and completed her degree essay at the Paris-Sorbonne University. In 2008 she obtained her Public Relations Practitioner Degree from the London School of Public Relations in Zagreb, and won a Master’s Degree in public relations from the University of Dubrovnik in 2011.
She has served as a court interpreter for English and French, and worked as an English and French professor at the Alliance francaise and other foreign language schools in Dubrovnik since 2003.
From 2005 she has served as the Dubrovnik Festival’s Public Relation & Marketing Manager on a full-time basis.
On 6 April 2013 the City of Dubrovnik Council appointed her the Dubrovnik Festival Executive Director. Medo Bogdanovic was appointed second time in 2017 and again on 15 June 2021 for another four years long mandate.
