Lea Anastazija Fleger was born in 1992 in Zagreb, where she graduated from the Second Grammar School and Elly Bašić Secondary Music School. She earned her Master’s degree in Theatre Directing and Broadcasting from the Zagreb Academy of Dramatic Art.

She directed The Broken Jug by Henrich von Kleist, produced by the Kerempuh Theatre Zagreb, Tom, Dick and Harry by Ray and Michael Cooney, produced by the Komedija Theatre Zagreb, Heroes of Paul's Street by Ferenc Molnar, produced by the Zagreb Youth Theatre, The Stamp by Borna Vujčić, produced by Ulysses Theatre, Countdown: At a Wedding with Držić and Nalješković at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza and the musical The Last Five Years by Jason Robert Brown at the Croatian National Theatre Varaždin, The Call of the Wild by Kristina Kegljen at the Scena Gorica Theatre in Velika Gorica, Sexy Laundry by Michele Riml and Feu la mère de Madame by Georges Feydeau at the Virovitica Theatre, My Zero Birthday by Ivan Penović at Children’s Theatre Dubrava, Lottie and Lisa by Erich Kästner at the Marin Držić Theatre in Dubrovnik, Oh, oh, Juliet by Ephraim Kishon at the Histrion Theatre Company, Hansel and Gretel at the Trešnja Theatre Zagreb and her own project Why are you Silent? at the &TD Theatre Zagreb.

As a student she received Rector’s Special Award for direction of the musical The Last Five Years, Rector’s Award for direction of Feu la mère de Madame, Dean’s Award for the plays Dva pečena jaja. Na oko. (Two Fried Eggs) and Feu la mère de Madame, as well as Rotary Club’s Excellence Scholarship.

For her student play Dva pečena jaja. Na oko. she won the Award for Best Direction at the Festival of International Student Theatre in Belgrade.

She has directed around a dozen concerts and events and also works as animated film dubbing director. She has participated in numerous workshops and seminars in Croatia and abroad.

She serves as Assistant Professor at the Acting Department of the Zagreb Academy of Dramatic Art.
