Marina Pejnović was born in Zagreb in 1992. In 2010 she graduated from the 16th Language Grammar School and entered the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. In 2013 she completed her BA and in 2018 her MA degree in Theatre Directing and Broadcasting. She has directed at the Croatian National Theatre Zagreb, the Kerempuh Satirical Theatre Zagreb, the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, the Croatian National Theatre Varaždin, the Croatian National Theatre Šibenik, the Zagreb Youth Theatre and the &TD Theatre Zagreb. This is her first collaboration with the Komedija City Theatre Zagreb. In addition to theatre directing, she has also worked as animated film dubbing director and director of radio dramas, radio documentaries and cultural and sporting events. She won the 2020 Fadil Hadžić Days of Satire Award and the Zlatna Vila International Festival in Prijedor Award for Best Direction for the play The Notebook of Robi K. She received the ASSITEJ Award for Best Dramatic Text for the play Hooligan at the Mala Scena Theatre, co-written with Matija Šakoronja and Paško Vukasović.
