Juan de la María is a cantaor from a gypsy family with roots in Jerez and one of today’s most prominent flamenco singers, regularly performing at major flamenco tablaos, including Tablao Galileo, Tablao Griochi in Tokyo, Tablao Cordobés in Barcelona, the Festival Flamenco de Sevilla, the Festival de Bulería Guillena, Flamenco Jerez, Jerez Off Flamenco Festival, the Festival Loire in France, working with some of the most prestigious flamenco dance companies, such as Compañía Macarena de Jerez, Compañía José Maya in France, Compañía Soraya Clavijo, and Compañía Joaquín Grilo. He frequently accompanies distinguished dancers, including Pepe Torres,Concha Vargas, Farru, and Choro Moina, among others. With a deeplytraditional Jerez singing style, he became a member of the Casa de laMemoria at the end of 2022.
